Please note: To ensure that you order the correct size uniform for your child a range of try on samples are available at the school reception.
The aim of school uniform is to present a smart appearance which promotes a sense of belonging and pride in our school. It is therefore important that this is considered in all aspects of appearance. There is a strong tradition of support for school uniform at St. Katharine’s which we wish to maintain.
Our school uniform is as follows:

Navy and gold tie
Navy v-neck jumper or cardigan
White blouse
Navy tunic(KS1)
Navy skirt (KS2)
Smart grey regulation trousers
Summer dress (blue vertical stripe)
White socks or navy tights
Flat black or blue sensible shoes

Black shoes -(not trainers)

Pale blue P.E. shirt

Navy sweatshirt and joggers (optional)

All clothing, including underwear, should be clearly marked with name-tapes.
· No jewellery should be worn to school. Watches may be worn at the owner’s risk. (If children are having ears pierced this should be done at the beginning of the summer holiday to ensure they can be removed for school)
· Long hair should be secured at all times with navy or white hairbands or scrunchies. Hair braids and died hair are not appropriate for school.
· Other forms of decoration such as tattoos, transfers or nail polish are not appropriate.
Any article of clothing left in the cloakrooms is left at the owner’s risk. The school accepts no responsibility for damage to such articles or for any loss. However, a lost property container is used to store un-named items for up to half a term. Any unclaimed items may then be disposed of.
The Authority is only able to offer assistance towards clothing in necessitous cases, i.e. in those instances where a child may be unable by reason of the inadequacy or unsuitability of his or her clothing to take full advantage of the education provided at the school. No assistance can be offered towards a child’s school uniform and, in consideration of this, Head Teachers are encouraged to keep their uniform requirements to a minimum.
