Unusual or trendy hairstyles including coloured extensions are not acceptable. Hair that is below the collar must be tied back at all times.
In Reception Class and Year 1 shoes with Velcro fastenings are strongly recommended.
From Year 2 onwards, children can wear shoes with buckles and laces. Children can only have laces if they can tie them up themselves.
Shoes must be completely flat, plain black, with no hidden toys, coloured tabs or illuminations and cut below the ankle.
No trainers or trainer style shoes are allowed, unless for documented medical reasons.
In order to avoid confusion and to keep Lost Property to a minimum, all items of clothing, P.E. kit, bags etc, must be clearly labelled with the child’s full name.
Watches can be worn at the pupil’s own risk . The school is not liable for any loss or damage of any personal property brought into the school.
Any child attending school wearing incorrect uniform (including PE kit) will be issued with a letter to the parent advising what part of the uniform is incorrect, and provide details of the correct uniform (see Appendix 1).
In cases where a child continuously wears the incorrect uniform the parent will be contacted to meet with the Phase Leader for that area of the school in the first instance.
We ask all parents to support the school uniform policy. We believe that parents have a duty of care to send their children to school correctly dressed in school uniform that it is clean and in good repair, ready for their daily schoolwork.
St Augustine’s is not responsible for the quality of items sold or the service provided by stores. All complaints should be addressed to the Managers of the stores concerned.
Nearly new uniforms are donated by parents and are available to purchase for a small donation via Mrs Chiparo. Please write a short note to Mrs Chiparo through the School Office.

In order to avoid confusion and to keep Lost Property to a minimum,
All items of clothing, P.E. kit, bags etc, MUST be clearly labelled with your child’s name before being brought into the school.
All uniform with school logo is available to purchase online from ‘School Trends’.
Unusual or trendy hairstyles including coloured extensions are not acceptable. Hair that is long enough must be tied back at all times. Plain black or navy hair ties only to be worn.
As well as our approved decorated school uniform with our school badge embroidered on the items you are also able to order plain items such as trousers, skirts and shirts. (Please note the items shown on the website are displayed without the school badge).
Please note that we are now introducing a new P.E. kit in the house colours the children are in. This kit will become a compulsory part of our school uniform in September 2014. You may start ordering this new kit now if you wish as we are phasing out the white polo shirt.
School Trends aim for the highest standards in both quality and service. We feel that they supply clothing that represents excellent value for money.
All the garments are purpose made for the school wear market to ensure they are hard wearing and durable.
The orders also go through a number of stringent checks made from the initiation of orders through to the delivery of merchandise. Manufacturing and production is constantly audited to maintain and improve quality design.
Other ordering information including sizes, delivery information and the returns procedure is also available here. We hope you will find using this new service an improvement in how our school uniform is supplied.
I would also like to confirm that you may still continue to order from Anne Stitches if you wish. School ties will continue to be sold through the school office.
Yours sincerely,
Miss. H. Bloomfield
